Chorus (Süp127 & Ata):
Knowledge, wisdom, truth, and understanding
To educate the youth, that's my plan, man
And then from there, we can save the whole world too
So find the guidance, now tell me: What you gonna do?
Verse 1 (Ata the Ghetto Philosopher):
Prophetic, poetic, you heard it, I said it
Listen attentively and don’t forget it
This life, don’t sweat, cause I death, I met it
Blood, I shed it, Quran, I read it and was lifted
Born gifted life shifted, falsehood, I hit it with truth, and ripped it
Then split quick, but don’t quick and split
Because quick was the way I struck the demon
And split is what I did as I was leavin’ the scene, man
There’s nothing worthy of devoting your life in all aspects to
Except the one who will all eventually return to
The one that created us from nothing
And now we've got the audacity to rebel, and act like we something
Remember that you began as sperm
And you will end up as food for worms, contaminated with germs
So if you learn your lesson in truth, you won’t get burned
The rest I’ll leave to my Lord, the wise and superb
Ya’ll heard but you ain’t listenin’, cause Satan is whisperin’
He got metaphysical lyrics that are glistenin’
And the people who know what’s up, are locked up, shut up and shot up
They tried to keep us down, but by the grace of Allah we got up
A part of this universal movement called Islam
And now it’s time for me to redeem Islam, redeem Islam, redeem Islam…
Süp127: Islam redeemed.
Chorus 2 (Ata the Ghetto Philosopher):
Don’t dance to the beat, listen to my lyrics
I’m not tryin’ to entertain, but educate you wit’ it
Knowledge, wisdom, truth, and understanding
To educate the youth, that’s my plan, man
And then from there, we could save the whole world too
So find the guidance, now tell me, what you gonna do?
Verse 1 (Süp127):
Yo, I was raised by a scientist
So when it came to religion, I was like, I ain’t buyin’ this
But then I thought, how could so many be so wrong?
So I opened my mind and took up along
I took the best of all beliefs
That is to say, the views of which I liked and agreed
The way I saw it, even if it was all a big lie
It’s better than thinkin’, I only die
I was never one for the mob mentality
So I gathered and built my own Old Testament theory
Where God creates natural and physical laws
To organize elements out of the oblivion of chaos
Then God, in it’s image, creates the human
Let it not be forgot, Genesis 1:27
And since we in God’s image, we got some attributes of God
And so we need to create our own law
And forget a law prohibiting freedom
Which is all I ever see in our complicated law system
We need laws based on nature that are easy
Something that can be grasped by a baby
Laws like so should be simple things
Like eliminating negative interaction between other human beings
Now you may say this contradicts
But it not only preserves freedom, it protects
And if God made humans and the Earth is our dominion
Then how come none is what I'm getting
I’m entitled to my share just for living, that's a given
But somehow good Christians aren’t followin’ religion
Well listen, I’m not necessarily dissin’ capitalism
Just kickin’ some ancient wisdom passed down from the Native American Indians
So they’d say, “Who are you kidding?”, that selling land is silly
‘Cause how could you pay, even a million, of whatever you’re giving
It doesn’t matter, how could you possibly own more than you yourself could look after
Free enterprise means every man has a chance to rise
But without public land every man has to stand in lines
To get a job, to feed their family with some money
Since when did free enterprise mean deprive others when they’re hungry
And abuse ‘em, confuse ‘em, all about some bullshit
It’s really all about the resources and who controls it
God gave it to humans, but it was taken by their evil
We need to take it back and share, make it really equal.
Chorus 1
I believe in god, but you make me not want to
With the gods of all you other religions: Catholics, Christians, & Jews
No, I’m not hatin’, I just don't want to be confused
I'm trying to turn a new leaf and bring relief with the alternative belief
Where you don’t need to believe anyone else's views
I believe in the god in me, so that’s whatever I choose
That’s what I achieve, and that’s what I be, so that’s what I am, the god in man
Meaning I’m not a devil, if you live for evil, we’ve got a score between us to settle
Exorcizing demons over base and treble, my mental is that higher level
Live for life, what's essential, I just want to keep it natural
I’m not an animal, I’m human, and refusin’ to be abused in ways like they do cattle
I’d rather assume the role of the creator in me and be a revolutionary radical
Spittin’ rhymes to wisen minds in these desolate times, you need tactical, strategic plans
Take power from the hands of the evil man, take your world view and expand
From your personal, isolated, emotionally-based state
Heavily contemplate the world’s fate, do your truly believe it’s great to hate?
Cause you’re taking the devil’s bait, but I’m’a set it straight, ‘cause it’s not too late, for education
And don’t call me a rebel, because that has a derogatory connotation
I only fight with bass and treble against a corrupt nation
The devil’s the rebel getting’ in the hearts of men
But God’s got my back, so who am I then?
I go against the grain of society
I want extreme changes, by any means necessary, so don’t expect me to live quietly.
Ata: We ain’t livin’ quietly. Süp broke it down.
Chorus 3 (Süp127):
Don’t dance to the beat, listen to my lyrics
I’m not tryin’ to entertain, but educate you wit’ it
Knowledge, wisdom, truth, and understanding
To educate the youth, that’s my plan, man
And then from there, we could save the whole world too
So find the guidance, now tell me, what you gonna do?
Verse 2 (Ata the Ghetto Philosopher):
My lyrics is my bullets, my mind is my chamber
My tongue is my trigger, so beware ‘cause I’m danger
And I'm a stranger to this game because it’s by design
And I’m in a constant struggle, fighting for my mind, from indoctrination
And my soul from intoxication, that's what servin’ the Lord is my ultimate occupation
My station is Earth and it commenced at birth
The epiphany happened at fifteen, so I gotta apologize to Tiffany ‘cause I was tripping
And all the sisters I treated wrong, hope y’all understand I’m a changed man
When you listen to this song, I'm not perfect, but I'm striving for perfection
And I won't get there alone, so I know I need divine protection
It's a blessing that I am able correct myself while I am living
Cause so many died while wrong, and can't give thanks for that which was given
And I know we're living for a purpose
So when people are heading for doom, and don't listen, man, it hurts, kid.
